A graduate of Aberdeen University in 1986, Dr. Johnston trained as a General Practitioner and was certified as a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1990.
In 1994, Dr. Johnston began her longstanding affiliation with the Menopause Clinic at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where she provided specialist advice and treatment for women experiencing complex menopausal symptoms, including those with early, premature, or surgically induced menopause. Her approach is highly personalised, utilising regulated body-identical hormones and testosterone replacement therapies to address individual needs effectively.
Dr. Johnston also brings a unique blend of expertise from her role as a Breast Clinician at the North East of Scotland Breast Screening Centre since 2003, enhancing her comprehensive care with in-depth knowledge of breast health. In 2009, she further elevated her career by becoming an Associate Specialist in Women's Health, integrating her diverse skills in hormone management.
